Happy Friday; "What, Are We Blind Too?
Blind: unable to see; sightless; lacking perception, awareness, or discernment
Jesus healed a blind man. The Pharisees, the ones who knew the laws of God, investigated the man's healing and asked him, if the man who healed him was a sinner. The blind man answered, I don't know. All I know is, I once was blind but now I see. They further interrogated the man to find fault in Jesus. I'm sure you have experienced a time where God has done something miraculous in your life and you can't quite explain, but you know it was only God who brought you through. The Pharisees ended up throwing the man out. Jesus heard they had thrown him out and went and ministered to him. The man believed Jesus was who he said he was and worshiped Him.
John 9:39-40 Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”
Although the Pharisees were able to physically see Jesus. They were not able to see him with their spiritual eyes. They lacked awareness and discernment in the spirit to realize that He truly was the Son of God. They were unable to see spiritual things, even though they were in the presence of God. Scripture says that even went so far to say Jesus was demon possessed.
What Can We Learn From These Things:
1. Trust and Believe in God, even when you can't physically see him.
2. Reading the Word is one thing, living out of the Word is another.
3. God is a Spirit, They that worship God must worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
